Cold Etching with Titan-etch

For cold etching please follow the instructions for warm etching with these exceptions:

• Use a double strength solution: Only add half of the distilled water when mixing the titan-etch crystals with the distilled water.


• After the etchant is activated, no more heating of the etching bath is required.



• Reaction times for cold etching are considerably longer. It's difficult to give exact reaction times because they depend several factors, however good etching results should be obtained anywhere between 3 and 10 minutes reaction time.

If cold etching doesn't produce acceptable results, the warm etcing process is recommended.
